Method

  1. 1.

In a blender or bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, frozen banana, frozen berries, monk fruit, and vanilla extract.

  2. 2.

Add a splash of your chosen milk and blend (or whisk vigorously) until the mixture is mostly smooth, but don't over-process if you want berry chunks.

Don't over-blend if you like a bit of texture from the berries.

  3. 3.

Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami Deluxe pint, making sure not to exceed the 'Max Fill' line. Add a bit more milk if needed to hit that line.

  4. 4.

Place the lid on and freeze for at least 24 hours until solid.

  5. 5.

Remove from the freezer, place in the Creami machine, and select the 'Lite Ice Cream' program.

  6. 6.

Check the texture. If it looks like icy snow or crumbs, add one tablespoon of milk and hit the 'Re-spin' button.

This is the magic step for creaminess!

Health Insight

This is a protein-packed, fiber-rich treat that satisfies dessert cravings without the heavy sugar load of traditional ice cream.

Strengths
  • Impressive 22g of protein per serving from the Greek yogurt base
  • High fiber content (6g) provided by the berries and banana
  • Low glycemic impact thanks to the use of monk fruit sweetener
Could improve
  • Mix in a teaspoon of chia seeds to boost the fiber and omega-3 content even further
  • Top with a few crushed almonds for added healthy fats and a satisfying crunch

For the best texture, ensure your base is completely level in the pint before freezing. If it comes out crumbly after the first spin, add a tiny splash of milk and use the 'Re-spin' function.
